Atlanta Jazz Festival: Mobile Channel + Volunteer Coordinator
[2017]
I worked as the Marketing and PR intern at C21, a boutique agency in Inman Park from January - May 2017. With c21 being a smaller boutique agency, I got the opportunity to manage tasks for clients in various industries including city events, nonprofit, real estate, technology, and entertainment. I wrote press releases, media alerts, newsletters, social content, and analytic reports.
The client that excited me most was the Atlanta Jazz Festival, an annual event produced by the Mayor’s Office of Cultural affairs (OCA). I helped build and fill content into the AJF Mobile Channel that provided attendees with information. In 2017, c21 won awards from both PRSA Georgia Chapter and IABC Atlanta for our work creating and implementing the Atlanta Jazz Festival mobile channel.
In addition to this digital project, I also served as the volunteer coordinator for the festival. 2017 was AJF’s 40th anniversary year, so the OCA also organized 40 Days of Jazz - hosting 40 pop-up jazz events around the city for the 40 days leading up to the festival. I organized and managed 150+ volunteers for both the festival weekend and the 40 Days of Jazz events.
