Lover’s Below

[2023)

On Saturday, February 25, 2023, The Bakery Atlanta produced a pop-up Valentine’s Day party in the Poncey-Highland neighborhood with 500+ people in attendance. With 4 musical acts, a “BYOArt” gallery featuring 20+ artists, a night market of 20 vendors, and a few site-specific activations/art installations - this event required a lot of administrative work.

I helped bring this party to life and had a range of responsibilities. I managed our ticketing platform and analytics, I helped make promotional materials and create a marketing plan. I also created all of the internal documents for our vendors, artists, musicians, and other team members. I recruited and was the point of contact for our greeters, bartenders, photographers, and volunteers. After the event, I created budget reports and a payout document, securing payments for 20+ artists and creatives.

I love parties and I love love.

Lover’s Below was a very special event. Not only did I manage this project, but I also created a site-specific installation for the event out of recycled tablecloths.

Fun fact: a few days before the event my brilliant co-worker and production lead (Gregory Rossomme) said “This back space feels empty. I wish we had an old dingy car to pull in here.” My eyes got wide as I replied, “I know a guy!” I then invited my Dad to be a part of the event with his single-cab Volkswagen truck and kitschy folk art.
